Cookies for the Cause and Chef Julia on Channel 4
New Roads Chef Julia Simonsen and her Catering for the Cause employee Amanda did a fantastic job on the Daily Dish - ABC Utah channel 4 this morning at 9 am. They did some promoting of New Roads as well The Cause, all while baking up some delicious cookies for the holidays. Way to multitask gals!
Not only does Catering for the Cause provide job opportunities to people in recovery, it also helps us raise money to provide scholarships so treatment can be affordable to any family dealing with addiction. Drug treatment can be expensive so having the ability to provide a young adult the financial means to get into a well-structured rehabilitation program means a great deal to us here at New Roads.
Chef Julia and Catering for the Cause have been getting the word out that you can help by spending $6.00 on tins of delicious cookies for the holidays in order to raise money to benefit the New Roads Foundation.
But how do you go about helping?? The process of giving back this holiday season is simple. You just click to the website, order some cookies from us and 100% of the proceeds will go to the New Roads Foundation, which assists in providing addiction treatment to young adults who may not have the means to get help, but desperately want it.
Julia and Amanda showed the simple process for the chocolate orange shortbread cookies:
